While the Arabs have never been able to defeat the Israel militarily, they have achieved more success spending billions to turn Western public opinion against Jews in general and Israel in particular. Recent opinion surveys indicate that about 200 million Europeans (and a lot of Americans) consider Israelis the new Nazis for refusing to give in to the demands of the Palestinians (who want Israel destroyed in Arabic media but are more moderate in other languages). This shift in attitude has led to a dramatic increase in European anti-Semitism, most violently practiced by the rapidly growing Moslem population in Europe against a rapidly shrinking Jewish population. Consider the basic numbers. There were nine million Jews in Europe before World War II. The Nazis murdered six million of these and many more fled Europe for the Americas or Israel after the war. Now there are only about two million Jews in Europe. Meanwhile, the Moslem population more than doubled. Much of that growth came from migration, particularly to West Europe where there are now sixteen million Moslems, more than five times as many as before World War II. These new Moslems are less educated and more anti-Semitic than Moslems who had been in Europe for centuries and had learned to get along with non-Moslems. The Arabs, particularly Saudi Arabia, have spent billions of dollars in the last four decades to make Westerners more comfortable with Islam and key Arab beliefs, especially anti-Semitism. This has been a hard sell, because in Saudi Arabia no other religion can be practiced and Islamic clerics openly preach hatred of other religions and justify the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews. To overcome this and change Western attitudes the Arabs hired a lot of Western PR experts and media advisors and learned to be discreet, persistent, and generous to the right people and institutions. That effort has paid off, especially in Europe, which has a long history of violent anti-Semitism that the Arab effort revived in a big way. Many Europeans are now calling for diplomatic, economic, and legal moves against Israel for "war crimes" involving the Palestinians. The decades of Palestinian terrorism against Israel is considered legitimate self-defense while Israeli defensive moves are described as oppressing the Palestinians. Many Israelis see this as the old European anti-Semitism, which led to the Nazi mass murder of six million Jews during World War II, something that was done with the cooperation of officials and citizens in many European countries. source: http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htiw/articles/20130925.aspx

"The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct Palestinian people to oppose Zionism. For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan." - Zuhair Mohsen (a leader of Palestine Liberation Organization) source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zuheir_Mohsen

Palestinian media has been increasingly declaring that Israel does not exist and that the Jewish presence in the region for over 3,000 years is a myth. When the state of Israel was established in 1947, there began a series of bad decisions by Arab governments that are setting records for failure. Although the UN tried to broker the creation of Israel, Arab nations misjudged their own power and told Arabs in Israel to flee their homes, so that the Arab armies could come in and kill all the Jews. When that didn't work the Arabs refused to absorb the 600,000 Arab refugees and continues to treat (actually, mistreat) them as refugees. At the same time the Arabs expelled 600,000 Jews who had been living among them for centuries. Most of these Jews went to Israel, became Israelis, and prospered. source: http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htmurph/articles/20130212.aspx

Palestinians complain that Gaza is blockaded by Israel. This has never been true. Food, fuel and other essential supplies always got through. Israel only wants to prevent weapons from getting into Gaza, particularly weapons that can be used against Israel (like the thousands of rockets that have been fired into Israel, not to mention mortar shells, explosives for bombs used against Israeli border patrols as well as all those bullets fired at Israelis. So over the years as Palestinians in Gaza for more creative at smuggling weapons in, Israel became more through about inspecting all incoming goods... Hundreds of trucks full of goods enter Gaza from Israel each day, but it is Hamas that refuses to allow more. Many more trucks enter via the one legal route from Egypt and Hamas restricts the number coming here as well. All this is to enable Hamas to collect more taxes (from good smuggled through the tunnels) and get weapons and wanted criminals (as in Islamic terrorists) into Gaza. The tunnels also allow Hamas to move whatever they want in or out of Gaza without any government interference or observation. The tunnels under the 14 kilometer Egyptian border employ over 15,000 Palestinians. Hamas deems them legal enterprises, and charges a large fee (over $2,500) for anyone who wants to build and operate a tunnel. source: http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htlog/articles/20130321.aspx

The Palestinian Authority (PA) is under growing pressure to stop paying imprisoned terrorists salaries. These Palestinians were convicted of killing people (usually Israeli civilians) but are considered heroes by the Palestinian government and most Palestinians... The average payment is $770 a month and the highest ones are nearly $3,000 a month... Publicizing this practice has forced the PA and their Western donors to adjust. The most frequent solution is to insist that none of the Western aid money goes to terrorist payments because that money comes from Moslem sources. This is just an accounting trick, but is often sufficient for many Western donors. source: http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htterr/articles/20130512.aspx

Palestinian leaders are once more in trouble with many of their Western donors over some public statements made in Arabic that got translated by Israeli activists and distributed. This all began on April 30th when a Palestinian civilian stabbed a Jewish civilian to death in the West Bank. Palestinian officials promptly went on local electronic media praising the killer as a heroic fighter for Palestinian freedom. Another official praised the enterprise of the killer and urged more such killings. He gushed that, "If we had a nuke, we'd have used it this very morning." That official was also heard discussing how peace negotiations with Israel are only a tactical ploy, to weaken Israel until Palestinians are strong enough to kill all the Jews. source: http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htiw/articles/20130515.aspx

Palestinians must pay bribes to get anything done by their own bureaucracy in the Palestinian territories... Israelis gain a lot of information via electronic intelligence work and UAVs that are constantly in the air over Gaza.To the Israelis, inducing paranoia among the Palestinians is seen as a successful weapon... Israel also has hundreds of police and military operatives who can pass as Arabs. That's because the families of these Israelis came from Arab countries shortly after Israel was founded in 1947. These Israelis speak fluent Arabic (with a Palestinian accent), in addition to their Arab appearance. These agents dress as Palestinians and enter Palestinian areas to recruit and run Palestinian informants, at least in the West Bank. In Gaza, the Israelis use pro-Fatah (the rival group that runs the West Bank) Palestinians...  Israel recruits people in Arab telecom companies, a lot of people. Some get caught. But Israel has been able to hack into cell phone systems and monitor the Internet in Arab countries. Information, for Israel, is a matter of survival. Obtaining that information is much easier because of the culture of corruption often found in Arab communities. source: http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htintel/articles/20130609.aspx

Arabs throw stones at Jewish baby in Jerusalem: http://shariaunveiled.wordpress.com/2013/03/10/arabs-throw-stones-at-jewish-baby-in-jerusalem/

Israeli Police revealed that in early September [2013] they had disrupted a Hamas attempt to bomb a Jerusalem mall. A Hamas operative in the West Bank had recruited two Arab employees of the mall to plant the bomb. There were three other Hamas members in Jerusalem who obtained the components to build the bomb. Israeli intelligence picked up on this scheme and it took over a week to round up all members of the terror cell. Israeli intelligence services warn that decades of Palestinian efforts to radicalize Israeli Arabs is paying off, with more Israeli Arabs openly supporting the Palestinians (who want to destroy Israel, not make peace) and supporting or joining Palestinian terrorist groups and seeking to make terror attacks inside Israel. Israel has been trying to cope with the growing number of Israeli Arabs radicalized by Arab anti-Israel and anti-Jewish propaganda. Spying, terrorism and recruiting because of this is becoming more common among Israeli Arabs. Back in 2009 Israel banned (for supporting terrorism) two of the three Israeli-Arab political parties but that just drove a lot of this anti-Israel activity underground. Arabs make up twenty percent of the Israeli population, and in 2009 seven of the 120 members of the parliament were Arab. Now it’s twelve. Some Israeli Arab politicians have been caught working for Hezbollah, and other anti-Israeli organizations, although most are loyal. But these loyalists are under increasing pressure from the growing number of Arab Israelis who want to destroy Israel. source: http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htterr/articles/20131003.aspx

The Israeli government is to start repatriating immigrants from Eritrea and the Sudan, who number more than 50,000, back to Africa, via Uganda, in a plan recently announced by the right-wing coalition government. Israel regards the immigrants as economic migrants who have entered the country illegally in search of jobs and benefits and government ministers openly call the African immigrants “infiltrators” who are a threat to the demographic stability of the country which is predominantly Jewish in composition, thanks to decades of a selective pro-Jewish immigration policy... It is an example governments across Europe will follow, in due course, if those nations are to survive in the future. source: http://britishdemocraticparty.org/good-news-from-israel-over-immigration/

To most Moslems it’s perfectly natural to hate Jews and insist that Israel should not exist... "Sephardi" Jews look like Arabs and often still speak Arabic because their families lived in Arab countries for thousands of years. Yet the Sephardim are much better educated and economically successful than their Moslem cousins. So is Israel as a whole. Many Arabs will admit that Israel must go because it embarrasses the Moslem world... The whole "Israel is the biggest problem in the Middle East" issue is a scam, to enable local tyrants to keep their people down, and many of the people are starting to wise up. Part of that awakening is a growing "Arab Reform Movement" in the Middle East that believes the problems in the Arab world are internal, not external. The fact that an increasing number of Arabs support this movement, and that governments are not trying to exterminate it, is encouraging. But the reform movement is pushing against centuries of conservatism, and opposition to the kinds of things that Westerners take for granted. Meanwhile, Most Arabs still prefer to believe in conspiracies and fantasies, rather than deal with the reality of their situation... Israel is trying to get the U.S. to recognize that the main Israeli-Palestinian problem is the corruption and radicalism among the Palestinians that makes them a divided and virtually ungovernable group. That sort of thing tends to get ignored, largely because it is politically explosive and very difficult to deal with. It's much easier to talk about a "peace deal" or a "two state solution" without confronting the fact that the Arabs in general, and the Palestinians in particular make no secret (at least in Arab language media) that their main objective is not peace with Israel, but the destruction of Israel. This is the elephant in the room that too many will not even recognize, much less discuss... While Palestinians cannot agree on who should be in charge, they do agree on the need for a Palestinian state and the destruction of Israel... After World War II, most Jews said "never again" (to mass murder like the Nazis engaged in against the Jews.) But here it is, all over again, except this time the Nazis are speaking Arabic, and aren't nearly as well organized. source: http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htiw/articles/20131121.aspx

The Palestinians refuse to develop their own significant underground water resources, build a seawater desalination plant, fix massive leakage from their municipal water pipes, build sewage treatment plants, irrigate land with treated sewage effluents or modern water-saving devices, or bill their own citizens for consumer water usage, leading to enormous waste. At the same time, they drill illegally into Israel’s water resources, and send their sewage flowing into the valleys and streams of central Israel. In short, the Palestinian Authority is using water as a weapon against the State of Israel. It is not interested in practical solutions to solve the Palestinian people’s water shortages, but rather perpetuation of the shortages and the besmirching of Israel. source: http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/14577#.Uw9ps4UlWok

Palestinian propaganda praises those who kill children just as much as those who killed soldiers or police. All are heroes of the Palestinian struggle to destroy Israel. This is becoming embarrassing for some Western nations when it was pointed out that their aid money was being used directly for some of this propaganda... The current Palestinian plan is to go back to the UN and get recognition there as a “sort of” state and build on that to get the UN to impose economic and military sanctions on Israel for imaginary war crimes. Arab oil states have been throwing their money around for decades in the UN, to get nations to go along with meaningless resolutions condemning Israel, so this plan has a chance of success. Money talks at the UN and there are many states willing to sell their support if the price is right... There have been about 90 rocket and mortar attacks from Gaza since March 12th compared to 11 for all of 2013. This is largely due to Islamic terrorist group Islamic Jihad (an Iran backed terror group that is a Hamas rival in Gaza) threatening armed rebellion against Hamas because of perceived treason by Hamas against Islam. Meanwhile Islamic Jihad continues to take aid, and instructions, from Iran. Islamic Jihad takes credit for most of these rocket attacks. This aggression got Islamic Jihad criticized by the UN, which is usually condemning Israel for defending itself. source: http://www.strategypage.com/qnd/israel/articles/20140410.aspx

Hamas has controlled Gaza since 2007, two years after Israel relinquished control of Gaza as a good will gesture. Hamas defines itself as existing mainly to destroy Israel and drive all Jews out of the Middle East. Hamas began as a branch of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood and the continued presence of any Egyptian Islamic terrorists in Gaza has made Egypt increasingly hostile to Hamas. In fact, for the first time, most Egyptians are backing Israel in their fight with Hamas and Egyptian media openly encourage Israel to destroy Hamas completely. Egypt cooperates by sharing intelligence and sealing the Egyptian border with Gaza... Hamas has long been a big believer in using civilians as human shields (often against their will). Israeli soldiers are not allowed to use civilians as human shields, even to protect Israeli soldiers from attacks by Palestinians... Hamas sees these wars more as media campaigns than military ones and they see victory achieved by getting more Palestinians killed. In the aftermath of the 2009 war Hamas lied regularly to exaggerate the nature and extent of their losses. For example, Palestinians claimed that the 22 day long 2009 War indiscriminately killed civilians. Hamas claimed that 1,434 Palestinians were killed. Hamas further claimed that only 235 were Hamas fighters, while another 239 were police officers, and 960 of the dead were civilians. Hamas admitted that most of the "civilians" were men, mostly of military age. They also claimed that 121 of the dead civilians were women and 288 were children (defined as anyone under 18). It goes downhill from there. The Arab world unites behind these lies, and encourages all other Moslem nations to join them. Many Western nations, seeing a cheap way to ingratiate themselves with the Moslem world, join in. One thing Hamas and Fatah agree on is that over half a century of failed Palestinian (and Arab) efforts to destroy Israel is not their fault. They insists that Arabs are victims of a conspiracy by Jews and the West, to sustain Israel and keep the Arabs down. This is the core of Palestinian propaganda on all their media, and now accepted by many leftist supporters in West. Just another conspiracy theory, but one with thousands of heavily armed believers, who will kill if they get an opportunity. Re: Israel

Post  polka23dot on Mon Jul 28, 2014 2:01 pm

We are witnessing Arab and Muslim war crimes on a never ending spiral of horror inflicted upon Israel’s civilian population as endless salvos of missiles fired by the Hamas occupiers of Gaza rein down upon Israeli villages, towns and cities - and the world yawns. But then, remarkably, it awakens when the Jews have the unmitigated gall, temerity and chutzpah to defend themselves. It is then that an outpouring of brutish and irrational hatred towards the Jewish state explodes in much of the morally bankrupt mainstream media, and among the thousands of hate filled Muslims who take to the streets of European capitals in violent displays of terminal intolerance. Tragically, too many duped non-Muslim dhimmis join with them in the anti-Jewish hate fest... Those individuals include politicians, tenured professors, journalists, entertainers, et al... For them, just as among the mainstream media mavens of NPR, CNN, the BBC and other media outlets, ignorance is bliss. The world also yawned before and during the dark years of World War 2 when Jews were disappearing all over Europe. It was a time of towering intolerance and we have now retreated to those terrible years yet again... Nations seek to gain time before the Islamic tide washes over them through appeasement. They do so by ever growing hostility and intolerance towards the embattled Jewish state in the hope of assuaging the Islamic appetite. But it is all folly. Western European nations are now submerged in an ever growing, Sharia compliant, Islamic monster that is within the gates. In a generation or two, France, Belgium, Spain, Germany, the Scandinavian countries and Britain may no longer retain a Judeo-Christian culture or civilization except in small pockets, always besieged by a Muslim majority they so foolishly allowed to grow and strengthen within their borders. source: http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/64860

I met today with a Spanish journalist who just came back from Gaza. We talked about the situation there. He was very friendly. I asked him how come we never see on television channels reporting from Gaza any Hamas people, no gunmen, no rocket launcher, no policemen. We only see civilians on these reports, mostly women and children. He answered me frankly: ‘It’s very simple, we did see Hamas people there launching rockets, they were close to our hotel, but if ever we dared pointing our camera on them they would simply shoot at us and kill us.’ source: http://www.algemeiner.com/2014/07/31/spanish-journalist-on-why-hamas-never-photographed-in-action-if-ever-we-dared-point-our-camera-on-them-they-would-simply-shoot-at-us-and-kill-us/

The current war in Gaza between Hamas and Israel proved to be a technological disaster for Hamas. This was especially the case with Israeli anti-missile systems. Hamas already knew that the Israeli Iron Dome anti-rocket system and Trophy APS (Active Protection System) anti-missile defense for vehicles worked. Most APS consist of a radar to detect incoming missiles and small rockets to rush out and disable the incoming threat. A complete system weighs about a ton. There is also a Trophy Light (weighing half a ton) for lighter, often unarmored, vehicles. It was hoped that when Hamas used a lot of rockets and anti-tank missiles the Israeli systems would display flaws and allow Hamas to do some damage. It has not worked out that way. During the first two weeks of the current war Iron Dome and Trophy kept working reliably. Worse, the Israeli intelligence efforts and air force operations were a lot more effective at finding and destroying rockets before they could be launched than Hamas expected. The only success Hamas has had is the higher (that previous wars) Israeli losses to bobby traps, mines, bombs and ambushes. source: http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htarm/articles/20140803.aspx

Cloaked in the garb of humanitarian concern for the Palestinian people, anti-Semitism is gushing with such ferocity that the power to shock diminishes daily. That makes it easy for the far right, the far left, and a lot of people in between to attend rallies where others chant "Hitler was right!" and "Death to Jews" — even if they don't do so themselves... We tend to forget that Hitler and his followers had moments when they professed a desire for peace and claimed that warnings about threats to Jews were exaggerated. The Nazis assured foreign diplomats that attacks on Jews in the early 1930s were isolated incidents, blaming them on overzealous supporters. Much of the world took those naked lies seriously — and did nothing. source: http://online.wsj.com/articles/andrew-nagorski-camouflaged-by-humane-concern-anti-semitism-flourishes-1407280556

The Palestinians in Gaza have been building tunnels (mainly into Egypt for smuggling) since the 1980s. The Egyptians long tolerated this because the local Egyptian police and soldiers got bribed and that kept everyone happy. But tunnels into Israel were another matter, because these were not for smuggling but for killing or kidnapping Israelis. No bribes involved here, just murder and abduction (for ransom)... These smuggling operations are so lucrative that Hamas deems them legal enterprises, and charges a large (several thousand dollars) fee for anyone who wants to build and operate a tunnel. In addition, armed Hamas revenue collectors stand at the Gaza entrance for each tunnel, demanding a payment for everything coming out of Egypt, or going there. Exactly how many tunnels there are is something of a mystery... Israeli sources frequently say there are 300 or more. In the last year Egypt has destroyed most of the tunnels into Egypt because Gaza has become a sanctuary for a growing number of anti-Egypt Islamic terrorists... The Gaza border area is a desert, and if you dig down 6-20 meters, you'll find hard sand that can be excavated at the rate of 15 meters a day. Thus to build a tunnel you need cooperation from building owners on both sides of the border. They expect to get paid, usually a flat fee to start work, then monthly "rent", or even a percentage of revenue from people and goods going through the tunnel. The Egypt tunnels tend to be 500-600 meters long. So including digging down on each end, it's going to take you 5-6 weeks to complete your tunnel. If you have a few experienced (and highly paid) people working with you, the whole project will cost you $25,000 or more. That's a lot of money in Gaza. But the potential profits are enormous. Currently, moving a person through a tunnel costs several hundred dollars, or more... Few tunnels are built with bracing, to prevent, or mitigate a collapse. It is believed that hundreds of Palestinians are dead and buried under the border, as a result of collapsed tunnels. When the Israelis ran the place (until they left in 2005 as a peace gesture that backfired), they got pretty good at finding, and destroying, tunnels. The Egyptians, who now guard the border alone are nowhere near as good, and they can be bribed. But even today, a tunnel rarely lasts more than a few months, and someone usually dies as it collapses and goes out of service... Over the years Hamas has learned how to dig tunnels that are virtually undetectable on the Israeli side. This means going deep enough to avoid detection by ground penetrating radar or acoustic sensors. This makes it more expensive and time consuming to build tunnels but Hamas has diverted much foreign aid (cash and building materials) to the tunnel effort. A lot of the concrete and other building materials allowed into Gaza went to building tunnels. source: http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htcbtsp/articles/20140808.aspx

Russia is interested in increasing its fruit imports from Israel, after deciding to boycott imports from Europe as part of the ongoing diplomatic spat between Russia and the West. Hamas' first order of business as newly elected rulers of Gaza, was public executions; hanging, stoning and beating to death anyone opposed to their sworn ideology; the eradication of Israel and killing of all Jews. Today, Israel struggles to neutralize Hamas' death tunnels stocked to massacre Israel's men, women and children. 3,580 death seeking rockets have been launched from their Gaza hospitals, schools and mosques and rain down upon all of Israel's cities. Hamas's women and children are, despicably, used as human shields. If Heaven forbid, just one hit a kindergarten filled with Jewish children, Gaza's young and old will dance in the streets handing out sweets and pastries. They do so to celebrate any catastrophe against the free world's innocents. They did it when three Jewish teenagers were kidnapped and murdered and they did it when the 9-11 towers came crumbling down murdering over 3000 innocent Americans. source: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/florida-jewish-journal/opinion/fl-jjps-ciment-0820-20140818,0,4413720.story

Palestinians in Australia were perplexed recently when they were criticized for using a photo of children killed in Syria to represent Palestinian children killed by Israeli bombs in Gaza... Moslem activists like to cite passages in their scripture (the Koran) that justifies lying to kaffirs (non-Moslems) in the defense of Islam. Since Palestinians are striving to remove many kaffirs (the Jews) from Israel they are defending Islam and anything goes. Why don’t those dumb kaffirs understand this?... Palestinians also play with the numbers and have even been caught staging funerals using "corpses" that were actually live people pretending to be dead and representing fake fatalities... Palestinian leaders are also getting into trouble with many of their Western donors over public statements by Palestinian officials made in Arabic that got translated by Israeli activists and distributed. One example of this occurred in early 2012 after a Palestinian civilian stabbed a Jewish civilian to death in the West Bank. Palestinian officials promptly went on local electronic media praising the killer as a heroic fighter for Palestinian freedom. Another official praised the enterprise of the killer and urged more such killings. He gushed that, "If we had a nuke, we'd have used it this very morning." That official was also heard discussing how peace negotiations with Israel are only a tactical ploy, to weaken Israel until Palestinians are strong enough to kill all the Jews... Over the last few decades, and especially since the end of the Cold War, many Westerners have adopted the anti-Semitic angle in denouncing Israeli attempts to defend itself against Palestinian terrorism. Such self-defense measures are now seriously discussed as "war crimes" in the West. source: http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htiw/articles/20140915.aspx

A large segment of the Israeli population even looks like Arabs, because they are descendants of the half a million Jews expelled from Arab countries in the late 1940s. These Israelis can easily pass as Palestinians and often do when collecting intelligence. Few Palestinians willingly provide information to the Israelis, so the Israelis developed the BBE (Bribes, Blackmail, Extortion) System. Actually, BBE uses ancient techniques, but with tweaks to meet Israeli needs. Thus Israeli agents seek out Palestinians who could be bribed, blackmailed or extorted to provide information. This often provides enough information to identify the key people in a Palestinian terrorist organizations. The Israelis then stage raids or attacks to arrest or kill these key people. source: http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htintel/articles/20140923.aspx

Arabs in Jerusalem danced in the streets and handed out sweets, expressing great joy over the attempted murder of Temple Mount activist Yehuda Glick Wednesday night. “May Allah bless the shooter,” passerby told Israeli reporters, while celebratory fireworks went off in the background and music was played... Jewish museum in Poland... opened to the public this week. Rising majestically from a once-empty plaza behind the famed Warsaw Ghetto Heroes monument, the $110 million Museum of the History of Polish Jews is more than a major new cultural institution relating the thousand-year story of Polish Jewry... Most of what people know about Polish Jewish history is the Holocaust. And while museum organizers in no way belittled that genocide, this is not a Holocaust museum. Polish history, they say, did not begin or end with the Nazi destruction of 90 percent (about 3 million) of the country’s Jews, but is a long, complicated chronicle of integration and alienation, cooperation and discord. And the museum does not shy away from difficult stories... “Just as anti-Semitism is rising in Europe, Poland opens a museum of Jewish history,” she said. Noting that Poland “stands in stark contrast” to the rest of Europe in this, as well as its willingness to look openly and self-critically at its past, she said, “On the Polish side, there’s a tremendous desire to embrace Jewish history as Polish history.” source: www.jweekly.com/article/full/73071/

What Palestinian internal propaganda (in Palestinian media and in speeches by officials) has been saying for decades and still says is that the Palestinian objective is the destruction of Israel and the death or expulsion of all Jews from the Middle East. More radical Palestinians (and many other Arabs) not only call for all non-Moslems to be killed or expelled but act on that wherever possible (like Syria, Iraq and Egypt.) Pro-Palestinian Westerners keep making up excuses to explain away this religious bigotry but that is wearing thin as the death toll mounts and the Israelis publicize the Palestinian media exhortations to violence. Even more embarrassing is the attention now given, in Western media, to the double talk from Palestinian and Arab leaders, who talk peace to Western audiences while simultaneously continuing to call for death to non-Moslems in Arabic. It’s ironic that the global mass media, which is a recent (in the last few decades) development was seen by Arab leaders as an excellent way to reach all Moslems, even those who had moved to the West. But that international media is available to anyone, and as more and more Westerners translated the messages (or simply looked at the maps and images, which needed no translator) they noted that what Arab leaders were saying in English (and other Western languages) was quite different from what was said in Arabic. For Arab, and especially Palestinian, leaders this exposure is becoming a problem. A lot of financial and political support comes from Westerners who perceive Palestinians as victims, not genocidal aggressors and religious bigots. source: http://www.strategypage.com/qnd/israel/articles/20141123.aspx
